I have a bunch of it on the ground, a big double oak blew over. Lots of wood here, more than the pics show. just has to dry out some where i can get back to cut em up.
Wrong forum. Now that's the only kind of wood I care to be involved with these days! No chain saws, no log splitters, no stinking gasoline/oil mix, no heavy liftin' ......... hell, don't even have to get out of bed to take care of it! Well, maybe a little bit of heavy liftin' .... while ya' standin' up to pee!
Yeh, y'all know what I'm talkin' about, now don't ya'? jj
Yeah that sucks.Your lucky, a huge branch busted off mine and of all the places it could have fallen it fell on my beloved 2001 Firebird.

Good to see you use a stihl . When I cut firewood for myself , my Mother , and sold it , I had an 041 farm boss Stihl. It was a great saw.Yep, been doin it most of my life though.
I was no stranger to cords of wood as kid either … used to spend summer months helping my father stocking the cellar for the winter .Yep, been doin it most of my life though.
Yep, we call that noodling cause it leaves long stringy pieces. i do it so i can pick that stuff up to put it in the truck. i'm too old to try pickin up one of them big chunks. as i got older my strength got weaker and my truck bed got higher off the ground.Seeing you cut that chunck of wood length ways
Looks like a guy I'd like to have a few beers with.Yep, been doin it most of my life though.
