The 1st AR I shot was in '77 or '78 (I was 12 or 13). My dad bought a colt (carry handle style w/a2 front post and rounded split handguard). Still have it and it downed many of yotes and piggies. Don't know what the model # is?

I don't have it in my possession, my POS sister has it. She shoots it and probably hasn't cleaned it in 20 years.

I got it out yesterday and had a good time. Sights were pretty much right on. 4 clicks left and i managed a ~1.5” group at 40yds off of a bag.
The pic below is also at 40yds but off hand.
The trigger is real heavy but crisp. It is fine for shooting off a bag but not so much off hand. It will be changed out down the road.

The only other thing i will change is the safety for an ambi safety. I can work it with my left hand but it is really awkward and not smooth. I’ll give it another try tomorrow or friday.
I am happy with it. Basic AR is what i was after and i think this fits the bill for me (for now). I also like the A2 front sight.

Yeah, but mine is just a light case of a head cold pandemic, but @BET7 has the black plague of all pandemics. and @KillerFord1977 is next with just FAL's alone
