First Look: Echelon 4.0C in Desert FDE and OD Green

I just brought home my XDM Elite 10MM, so now my focus turns to the Echelon. To me, OD Green is God's favorite color, otherwise He wouldn't have been so generous with it! I have very large hands, so for me it's full-size all day every day. But I've been saying for a couple years now, chassis guns are the future. I'm committed to this idea so naturally I'm getting one. I'm just hoping for a good economy so I can get one sooner rather than later. I have all of the great calibers, but 9mm fell off my menu 25 years ago when police departments were still doing .40S&W. The last few years have convinced me it's been long enough! I need a pistol that can run like a scalded dog and the Echelon looks to be the winner.

The Echelon 4.0C is top on my "to check out" list. I am currently in the market for something similar to this. My only question is... Does Springfield plan on alternate calibers (i.e. 40 S&W)?

I want one, but is the right time to buy?. I have the origional Echalon and it is one of my favorite EDC during winter. I should have waited for the ODG. Now I will wait for the comp version in ODG, then I can EDC the echalon 4.0 during the summer, for now I use the sig 365 xmacro.

I have the original Echelon in O.D. green and really like everything about the firearm. Of course, the things go with Springfield Armory, my guess is additions are already in the works for the Echelon series.
