First post - just got an XD-M® ELITE 3.8″ COMPACT OSP™ 10MM

Hello everyone,

I am an avid collector of mostly Sigs, but I do have a SA Hellcat RDP OSP.
The RDP is actually my carry firearm. Anyways the reason for this post is Sportsmans had a sale on
the XD-M® ELITE 3.8″ COMPACT OSP™ 10MM for over $100 off MSRP ($50 sale and $50 for getting their CC).

I went to Sportmans and I really like that they let you dry fire in the store, unlike Academy that will not let you handle a firearm without a trigger lock. The trigger action on the 10mm is actually quite nice for a $500 level firearm. So I picked it up immediately.

My question is what red dots will fit it? I'm hoping it is not red dots like Hex, Swampfox, RomeoZero because as far as I'm concerned I don't like these.

Thanks,
VS

Holosun 507C X2 Contact (call) Springfield after you register it with them for the warranty and they will send you a free mounting plate.

Agreed on that. In a case like that I would put on suppressor height sights if I wanted to maintain co-witness.

ok, is there any red dot that will fit without an adapter plate?

Thanks,
Victor
I think (not 100%) that the venom has the same footprint? If so then there are others, but can't remember which ones. If you go on the Glock site and check out the mos plates it should show what is compatible. Stating that it might not list the dragonfly or hexwasp?

I just took the cover off the red dot cutout and now I understand why adapters must be used.
There are some mechanical protrusions into the red dot cutout and I don't think there is a red dot out there that would fit (without adapters) unless it was specifically designed for this gun.

Thanks for all your help.

The m&p had suppressor height sights and it's still sits too tall for co-witness. I told it off a installed a venom on and it's still a hair to tall. Bummer in all accounts!

Thank you sir. I just took it to the range for the first time and was quite pleased with the accuracy, especially for a new firearm and using iron sights. I also shot an HK P30L and at 10 yards I had better accuracy out of the SA 10mm, than out of the John Wick gun!
The first time I shot my 10mm OSP Elite Springfield compact was using iron sights and the gun shot great, after installing the Holosun I found it to be still a great shooter just easier on follow up shots. One of the best shooting guns I own.

Did the P30L have the stock trigger in it ? I'm guessing it did. First thing you need to do with that gun, before even firing it, is send it off to Grayguns or someone for a trigger.
