I had the Auto Ordinance GI model several years ago and the front sight came off within the first 200 rds. After the smith replaced the sight he sold it for me.

The one in article may be a discontinued model, this is the only duel tone I see on Sigs sight

Yeah, I don't think they've made a 2-tone model like that for some time. I was just a little thrown off by seeing that in a recent article.

Thanks - yeah, I'm familiar with the STX, but that's not the same as the 1911 pistol pictured in the article.
