FN/Browning Offered a model in .40 S&W.

It didn't last long since the .40 S&W was abit hard on the gun.

JMB died about 9 years before the BHP was announced so he had some early influence but it completed by Dieudonné Saive at FN in Belgium.

JMB designed alot of Wincheters early designs but left & went to FN when Winchester & JMB disagreed on payments for hid design.

Differences include; Locking system, frame & slide design features, ejector design, mag capacity, etc. Just look at the two disassembled.

Correct. But if you get the PVD finish in Stainless rather than black or FDE, it’ll cost you ~$100 more according to other articles.

I have an order in at the LGS that was placed when these were first announced at Shot Show 2022. I opted for the Stainless Steel (color) version, but all of them look nice to me.

In looking at the various vids, especially the FN one, this pistol should be considered a "new" pistol vs. a modernized/updated original.

Other than ammo I don't think anything in this new FN High Power is cross-compatible with the original.
