Wasn't sure where to put this thread. My wife just came home from HEB, hamburger meat was up a dollar per pound from the week before. 3.99 a pound is crazy. How many thousands of families are struggling to put food on the table every day?

We shop at Air Force commissary hamburger was $4.28 per pound. Prices are expensive for everything. For the 2 of us we probably spend $600 per month. Ridiculous!

Even dog food has risen. She eats food for her sensitive stomach, it's $50.00 per 8lb bag. Thank god she only eats just over a cup a day.

I'm an old man living alone. I don't eat near as much as I used to. I do admit to buying preferred brands rather than the cut rate stuff. I go grocery shopping once a month. Yet it still costs me around $500 each month.
Doesn't seem that long ago that I was feeding a family of four for that.

My wife does our grocery shopping, but I have noticed several types of canned foods that have shrank in size, but not the price.
