Fingerprint evidence is terrible. Theres way too much of a judgement call on the part of the examiner for it to truely be reliable. Mitochondrial DNA is about the only forensic evidence that's actually scientifically valid. Ballistics, bitemark, footprint, etc are flawed. Lots of subjectivity in their analysis.
