For All You VP9 Mavens.

I got a notification today from GrayGuns that they are offering a flat and a hybrid trigger for the VP series. I’m tempted by the Hybrid trigger, but don’t know if I can get excited about rooting around in my VP9. Look up VP9 locking block pin. If you are going to change the trigger on a VP9 you need to be extremely confident in your gunsmithing skills and most importantly have a deft touch. I’m curious what everyone else thinks.

I think my triggers are just fine. Lol

Had a buddy replace his with an and aftermarket (something “Wolf”, I think?)…he said it was not easy.

There’s one specific tool he ended up making that you can get through HK parts that makes it much easier.
Lone Wolf. Theyre hard to get these days.

Two things are key. The locking block pin only goes in from one side and can’t be hammered out. You have to pry it out, but the frame flexes. I put a clamp on the frame to stop that and very gingerly work the pin out. Lots of guys break their frames and HK is rarely sympathetic. The other thing you need is a specially ground pair of needlenose pliers that HKParts sells. It allows to to gold the trigger return spring in place while you wait for the spring, stars and universe to align. The pliers are worth their weight in gold! And believe it not the bonus tool is a coffee stirrer to place over the backward leg of the trigger return spring to make sure its in the correct place. That leg is what resets the trigger.

No SIR not a troll. I happen to like the B model better. Tried one with the paddle mag release. Couldn't get used to it. My dealer said like anything else that I'm just use to using a button. He said once you get used to the paddle and train enough with it that's what anyone would want on all their handguns.
