Nope, a dog is always happy to see you. A cat will never bring your boots to you, when he knows it's time to leave. I had one of the best for 12 years. She was easy to train. I've had 3 smart dogs in my lifetime, so far. We do have 1 old tomcat that is wild, stays mostly in the barn. Feral cats are a big problem in the wild. We usually shoot the ones we find in the timber while hunting. Several miles from the nearest farm house...
