Most of the Arctic stuff stayed east of the Divide but yesterday we got more snow, with last night was slightly below zero & we made it up to 10 today.

But things are going towards 30 tomorrow as the cold stuff moves further east.

Right now I wish it was warm enough to snow. We did not get above -19 today, which it is right now, with a -41 windchill. We’re supposed to get up to -17 for the high tomorrow, and then we kick the lid off the freezer.

When I was stationed in N. MN we got that stuff also so I was glad to move back home where we don't get quite as cold & windy.

I have family north of here in Canada, and in Kansas, Texas and Florida. I tell you if I had my druthers and circumstances were different, I’d get friendly again with Texas and/or Florida.

I’m east of San Antonio and dealing with temperatures from highs at 38 today and 22 overnight.
I’m really glad I spent the last couple months adding insulation to the inside of the exterior walls of my RV
I’ve cut my propane use for heat by 50%
I’m also running on a 50Amp service so I can supplement with electric heaters.

My mom and stepdad lived in San Antonio for about 40 years. When he passed she sold the house and moved in with us during the pandemic, then back to Canada. I have a strong tie in San Antonio. My stepfather rests there.

It seems like it doesn’t matter how far south you live, the weather can get you so you better be prepared for it.

In ??? Tx we're down to the mid-teens at night and getting to low 30s in the day. Not like the horrendous cold from three years ago thank goodness. My Dad was from Northwood/Larimore ND. I don't know how they handled it.

The Divide typically keeps most of the Arctic stuff in the eastern 2/3rds of the state, like all the way back across the northern tier.

But we get some spill-over at times, unless there's a major push that comes further west.

There's no way I'd go down south since there's undesirable weather & critters down there.
