Frame deep cleaning

@John Wayne Jr. posted a question about rust (I linked to it below if anyone would like to throw some ideas his way) and it brought up a good question. Products like Blast and Clean and are excellent for cleaning internals of the slide, like the striker channel and ejector, but what about the deeper internals of the frame? I know the occasional use of sprays like this “probably” won’t do much damage but poly is poly and plastic doesn’t like caustics. Other than a full take down, what’s the best way to ensure the these parts are, at least occasionally, thoroughly cleaned?

Ultrasonic cleaner, parts washer, etc...something that immerses the entire frame.

Assuming, of course, a detail strip is out of the question.
Thanks @HansGruber. I totally forgot about the ultrasonics. @John Wayne Jr. Harbor Freight has them pretty cheap during sales. An occasional ultrasonic bath in some simple green/water, with a good dry after (hair dryer on low works just fine) will do wonders for the dirt accumulation. Hopefully the great folks over at Springfield Customer Service can address your main concern.
