Front sight height?

Just got a Springfield Loaded parkerized 1911. Great, love it, accurate etc. The trouble is it shoots shocking high, even using 6 o'clock hold. I've run all variety/weights of ammo through it ranging from 185 to 230 grain, 580 fps through 1100 fps. Commercial ball, HP, lead SWC, my powder coats, all my hand load recipes. Shoots them all without issue and groups most of them very well - around 400 rounds so far. This gun is a keeper for sure.

The trouble is POA and POI start right at 8 inches high at 7 yards and don't converge until about 50 yards. I tested almost all the loads off a bag from a bench. Stock fixed tritium night sights that came on it - front sight .180 tall x .115 wide.

So the front sight is too short right? Or no? Looking for a replacement front sight to fit Springfield front sight cut (not staked). Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks all.
