I've been so concerned about how hard this shortage has been on customers, that I have overlooked how it is affecting those in the firearms business. This article explains a situation that I can't imagine happening in any other industry. There are many fields where I could easily see this sort of thing leading to complaints and threats of litigation. Looks like this is may just be how business is done in the firearms industry for the time being.

Oh, it's very true.

One of my local shops is a very small one man operation...and he can’t diddly divided by squat.

It's hard for me to fathom that things have gotten so bad that distributors are placing orders and making charges without prior approval, and sellers are thrilled to have them do it. I've always admired how gun people are willing to adapt and find creative solutions to problems, but in any other business this would border on fraud. Crazy times.
