Honestly, I would just fill it with paint, can’t see you sending it back for that myself. I used to use finger nail polish years ago to make white dot sites, or Testers model car paint, it’s pretty durableFront white dot on my Garrison 5” .45 popped out at the range…
Anybody know if these are solid items glued in, or painted ?
If I just fill it with some kinda paint, any suggestions as to what kind?
Thankee kindly,
Tide
So, just to be sure I understand, they sent you a new tritium insert ?When I bought my Operator, the white painted ring around the Tritium insert of front site was very sloppy in appearance. One call to SA customer service and I had a perfect replacement in my mailbox within a week. (No charge)
Give them a call tho, not an email.
No, the whole front sight. 1st pic is defect, 2nd is replacement. I did have to pay my gunsmith $40.00 to swap them out.So, just to be sure I understand, they sent you a new tritium insert ?
I second the Testers model paint, they even have some High Viz offerings.
Just on your sites…..I use orange glow fingernail polish on all of my front sights.
Yes only on my firearm sights. I ain't one o them fluffy types.Just on your sites…..![]()
Right. I applied "Glow-On" green on an rugged, old revolver front sight blade more than five years past. Still on, still works; the I.S.S. may be able to see it on a fly-over. . .I have had good luck with this, glows from light exposure nicely. Plus I find the green is better to pick up thsn white.
