Gen 2 Speed trigger - Ronin

I’m considering the Ronin Operator (.45) and asking Can anybody define the “Gen 2 speed trigger” it features? What is it, how’s it different, is it hype? Anyone have links to a good write up?

Pretty sure it’s just the trigger shoe...in which case, it’s cosmetic.

States, "Streamlined and skeletonized"! Doesn't say lighter pull weight or just the trigger weighs less for a speedier pull?

That’s the idea...lighter weight (usually aluminum) takes lessforce to get moving...

Never seen much difference between skeletonized aluminum and a solid steel trigger, m’self.

Yep, I also think he probably nailed it... but I’ll wait n see if anybody else knows anything solid...seems like I also read somwheres that the trigger is polymer/plastic (coated naybe?!?)

Could be; STI has been using plastic shoes for a long time; Colt did as well on some of their models, iirc.
