They really, really are fun.
A local small-town PD had a Chief that liked machine guns...so he bought them “for the department”; an Uzi, a M3A1 “Grease Gun”, a Glock 18...he’d bring them to the range and let anyone who wanted shoot them (if you provided the ammo, that is).
Fun fact: if you dump a 17rd mag out of a G18, the slide locks before your first piece of brass hits the ground.
