Glock 43x: Now with 15 Round Flush Fit Capacity

I have the Glock G43. Not a bad pistol, but I’d rather carry my Shield 45 between the 2. I like my Hellcat and Sig P365, but I’m now in pursuit of a longer barrel 3.5 - 3.7“, with a short grip and have bought the Sig P365xl, FN 509c, CZ P10 S, etc for potential EDC. I also own the 9 & 40 S&W M&P 2.0 compacts w/ 3.7” bbl and have on order the 45. Currently I carry either the Shield 45 or Hellcat.

If I was into strikers for carry, I’m fairly certain the 43X or 48 with these magazines would get the nod. Glock upped their game with these models, imho.
Agreed Hans, but it seems Glock (and other gun manufacturers), wait until I buy a model, then shortly thereafter, come out with something I like even more 😡. As mentioned, I bought the G43 and would have preferred the G43X or maybe even the G48. Same thing with the Sig P365, I buy it then Sig comes out with the Sig P365XL (which I ended up buying as well). It seems like I can't win 🤷‍♂️. But truthfully, I'm one that buys these models early and should probably wait for any initial issues or problems to present themselves and then get resolved. The wait would also allow me to see if any new models are in the wings.
That being said, we should shortly see Springfield announce the new Hellcat Mod.2 (or a name similar), with features like increased capacity, choices of different calibers, etc.

Hopefully a 40 cal. I have been holding out for it. Want to get the hellcat in FDE but really want a 40.

Nothing against the others. I was always a middle man. Don't have to have the biggest but don't want the smallest either.
Nothing wrong with the 40 Adam, I have several. In fact, they got me into try the 10mm round and I got a few of those as well. I like trying different calibers, in fact from 22s to 50AE, revolvers in 357, 44LC, 44 Mag, 454 Casull & recently ordered 500 S&W Mag. Rifles in too many calibers to list, I’ve own all. The only pistol calibers I haven’t obtained are the calibers between 22 and 9mm. I’d like to eventually look into some of them like the 32 & 380. Nothing like variety & different options I say. 😀

I picked up a couple of the Shield Arms mags for my 43x awhile back. I also went ahead and installed the steel magazine release that Shield Arms recommends when running their magazines. They work flawlessly and are a worthwhile investment for anyone who owns a 43x or a 48.

Yes I do own others from 22lr to 460 S&W. Back when I got old enough to buy handguns the 40 was new more power than the 9mm and not as much kick as the 45, and the 9mm wasn't as good as it is now with new hollow points they came out with. Have a couple 380 fun to shoot. Always liked the AK's fun to shoot now I'm getting into the AR's.

My buddy has a 48 and the gun is very picky on what ammo it will spit out. He's lost all confidence in the pistol and will not even carry it.

I advised him to reach out to Glock for service but he's yet to call them.

Yes, I have been buying 10mm when I go to a gun shop they are out of everything else. The last one did have some 40 but I'm pretty well stocked up on them now.
I have a decent reserve of 10mm ammo and other types for all my toys so I haven't been buying much lately but I except I did buy 500 rounds of Aquila .22lr super maximum today for $70. This is a high price for regular .22lr ammo but the super maximum is premium and hard to find with a velocity of 1700fps.

I was hitting a steel target at 200yds today with this ammo so I'm sold on its power & reach.

I was looking at the prices of ammo today online. Not going to be buying any soon. In January at a gun show I bought 1000 rounds of Tula in 223 for $195. after tax and 3% for credit card fees it totaled $218.00 not going to see that price for a long while.

I was actually shooting Tula .223 today also out to 200 & 300 yds with my Mini-14 and I was getting consistent hits on steel.
