Glock/Aimpoint COA direct mount

Here’s a great article from Erik Gelhaus (Erik owns Cougar Mountian solutions and is a Gunsite Rangemastwr and wrote the Red Dot curriculum at Gunsite)

Anywho while this is a Glock/Aimpoint only proprietary design (you can only get the complete gun and COA mounted from Glock for the first year)
Mi feel this will be the new standard for direct mounting across the industry in the next 3 years.

i saw/read where glock was doing this, but unsure if there's 2 or 3 options by having the "A" cut, mos and plain cuts or just 2?

Except for when Trijicon comes out with their direct mount, then shield followed by…. Standards, nothing standard about it.

We need a Magpul M-lock moment. Make the mount, and make it free to use as long as you stick with the standard also you need multiple big companies to agree on it like Magpul did.

My thoughts (which are exactly what I was paid for them) is in the future you will see something like the Glock/Aimpoint A cut will become standard form all the TDS manufacturers as footprints. At least I hope so

While you can order direct mounted guns from Glock S&W and some others all the different footprints and plates are a Lego game if you want to try a different RDS gets old
