Glock Rolling Out .40 Caliber Gen5 Pistols

Interesting...
Yea, the picture they show still has only 1 pin for the locking block, the older models in .40 always had/needed the 2 pin locking block design, makes you wonder, after all, they started using the 2 pin block just for the .40 cal when issue came about

I had given up on .40 S&W, and only own two handguns in that caliber. I hadn't taken them to the range in quite awhile before the pandemic. When 9mm was becoming impossible to find at reasonable prices, I kept finding .40 caliber ammo on the shelves at the usual price. I've ended up with enough ammo that I might be in the market for a new .40 handgun. I've been hoping for an XDM Elite, but I may have to settle for a Glock.

I am surprised, tbh.

Then again, there were probably a number of agency contracts coming up for a .40, and Glock decided there was money to be made.

Then again,It's not like it's all that hard for them to mill the slide a bit differently and drop in a heavier recoil spring.
