So I want to get a good pair of tactical/shooting gloves. I like the looks of a few different pairs I saw, but some get mixed reviews ( Viktos Operatus gets horrible reviews) and others are relatively expensive and apparently non-returnable. I'd actually prefer to buy them in person to make sure they fit before I drop $30 on them.

So what gloves are you guys wearing, why do you like them the best, how much did you pay for them and where can I buy them?

I buy the $10 pair at Academy of shooting gloves. Radian is the brand I believe. I like them because they are thin. Great for indoor. Prob not the best for cold weather outdoor.

Definitely not looking for cold weather gloves.

I like the original Covert and the Mpact 3. I wonder if all their gloves are sized similarly ? I could try a pair of the regular Mechanix at Lowes or something and then order that size in the Mpact or Recon or Covert on-line ? I used their sizing chart and they say I wear an XL and that has to be wrong. In most gloves I wear a medium. The last thing I want in a shooting glove is a loose fit. Particularly the fingers.

memphis ninja lite gloves
an absolutely amazing thin glove. With rubber for grip on only essential areas. They don’t offer cut / serration , puncture resistance nor do they have paddded knuckles.
just a good shooting or light use glove.

I used to wear the Uber-duber operator gloves (Oakleys, etc...). Now I just wear Mechanix.

I am definitely not interested in $80 gloves. If I was an operator or something and there was actually an advantage to them, sure. For range shooting and training, I am leaning very heavily towards the Mechanix. Which Mechanix do you wear Hans ? The regular ones or the Covert or Mpact or ??????

I usually just wear the Fastfit for hunting; they offer the most dexterity, I think, and ease of use (no dicking around with velcro if I need to remove them for some reason...). Also wear them shooting occasionally, or for a high round count class.

I wear the Mpact at work for some jobs, and while they are really nice as far as protection (probably saved me a broken hand one or twice), they aren’t very dexterous...and if I need a pair of tactical gloves with that kind of protection, I’ve still got some of my older shooter gloves with carbon fiber/Kevlar knuckle dusters...

I'll go off the grid on this one. I've tried a bunch of different kinds. I have sasquatch sized mits so I have to have an extra large sized glove. I tried Blackhawks, Mechanix, and some other other brands. I took a recommendation from an LE friend who also has large hands and he recommended a brand off of Amazon called "Seibertron", without a doubt the most comfortable shooting gloves I've ever worn. They're made large and they fit well, they've also held up well. I bought five pairs about three years ago and I'm still on the first pair. I don't use them that much, I only use gloves when I'm shooting my rifles but for an off brand glove, they've held up very well, highly recommend.

I like fingered gloves. Index finger gets worn out in 500+ round days

I wear deerskin gloves I have bought at a small shop. Been wearing the same type gloves for 30 years. Summer unlined and winter cashmere lined. Going to eventually have to switch as last time I was there they were closed. But lucky right now I have like 3 pairs of each.
If there are any Amish run stores near by they usually have a good selection of deerskin, calfskin gloves available. Also, good spot for very good quality belts and other assorted goodies from experience.

Definitely agree on the non velcro gloves for obvious reasons.
