Going back to old school

Decided to replace the furniture on the FAL from plastic to old school wood.
I have several sets of late ‘60s and early ‘70s stamped wood furniture.

I am refurbishing a good set of wood to put on the FAL to go back to the roots.
Needs some TLC.
I’ll post some after pics

Nice, I always did like wood on rifles, looks good

Looks good so far. I'm also a fan of wood furniture on long guns. My Ruger Mini-14 Ranch, SKS and Mossberg 590A1 Retrograde are some of my favorites. I'm not against polymer, and own several polymer guns, but the traditional steel and wood combo just has a classic feel to it.
