So, a few years ago, I had a P30L, but ended up trading it…always figured I’d be able to replace it.

Today, I did…boy, did I.

Did the comp come with it or did you buy it extra ? Which one ( comp) is it ?

I see yours has a safety. Did you do that on purpose or did you just find a deal ?


I shot mine yesterday. Really just rotating some HST out. hit a 4" gong at 30 yards 33 out of 34 shots.

It came with it, and I prefer the S model.

Not sure which comp it is…

That's a sweet looking gun buddy. I thought about getting a comp, but I carry it a lot and don't really need the extra length. Though it would be pretty cool on the range. Or in a shoulder rig.

Congrats. Knowing you, you got a sweet deal on it as well. Which variant is it ? You going to keep the hook or put a GG trigger in there ?

Yeah, I think I did ok on it. It’s used, but has XS sights…

It’ll be more of a range piece, maybe put in the “house gun” stable if I like it…I’ve got a TLR2HD not currently I. Use that would go well on it in that role…

Interesting, though—it says to use 124gr or heavier 9mm to get the most out of the comp; I’d think that +P loads would do it better (more pressure = more gas forced through the ports)…

And I’ve got some 9BPLE 115gr +P+ that might just have to go through it…

Unless I'm mistaken this "Wick" comp doesn't screw on to the barrel, so I don't know what difference it makes really.

My 9MMs are all German and they all recommended 124 to break in. So dutifully I ran a box of 115 through each one first because F breaking them in. They all ran just fine. Now I run 124 gr. in everything though. I am considering trying out some 147.

I think people damage their guns when using this comp with a threaded barrel—there’s not enough room for it to tilt up, and that’s gonna be a bad situation.

But, I’ll check it out.
