I ordered this from Sportsman's Warehouse on Friday, and the it originally stated that is would arrive at my store on Feb. 12. This morning I got a notification it arrived, and I was over the moon. It is as great as I had imagined. I actually got a bit emotional when the guy at the gun counter showed me it and let me hold it while my paperwork went through. Although this isn't the original 1911, Springfield seems to have done a fantastic job making it look on par with the models of old. When I was in the military, my sidearm was the M9 Beretta, a very good pistol I will say but many of the older NCOs and the older Officers still swore by the 1911 for it's ease of use and stopping power. Well now I get to try it out for myself. Anyone else have or would like a 1911? What are your thoughts?

PS, I also got this cool sticker with it, I think it looks great on my silver laptop!

1911 is a true classic. How many product designed in the early 1900’s are still useful and effective for their intended purpose today? An incredible design from the master. I can still shoot a 1911 better than any of the plastic fantastics that flood the market. Enjoy your new 1911- just remember they’re habit forming😊 ( and an EMP 9 or Browning 1911 .380 make very nice carry pistols if a full size or Commander is too big/heavy for you to tote everyday)
