GRIZZLY, KODIAK, AND VIPER: COLT DEBUTS 3 NEW REVOLVERS FOR 2024

The Grizzly and Kodiak are just dressed up versions of the Python and Anaconda. Nice guns, but expensive.
The Viper is nothing more than a stainless .357 version of the 4th Issue Police Positive which I already own.
I had one of the original lightweight Vipers many years ago. Sold it to finance my first M1A. I wish I had kept that one.

Wish Colt would have named these new models Python2, Viper 2, etc. to differentiate between these and the originals, since they did make some changes to them.

I like the "non-fluted" cylinder look. That was a reason I got a S&W 3-5-7 5".

Man, "Colt" just doesn't know how to make an ugly revolver ... everyone I've ever seen I've loved. These three are a fine addition to the already impressive array of handguns, although I've never been real fond of the rubber grips. I like the nice poly'd wood like on the Boa above. In fact I just out a set much like them on my Mk5 Stainless Trooper. Damn, does it ever look good!!!

Yea, no ugly guns…..but they need to make them more affordable……you know these will be high dollar guns……

The Viper will be suggested at $999.00, the two bears will be at $1599.00 each. That's a lot I know and rarely have I ever been able to just walk in to a LGS and say 'wrap it up, I'll take it'. Of the 4 Colts I own, 2 were gifts, (the 2 Pythons) otherwise I wouldn't have them. The other 2 are really nice Troopers. A MK III in blue, and a MK V in stainless. Of the 2 Colts I've sold over the years, one was a little semi-auto, (Mustang IIRC) the other was a 'Detective Special' revolver. Man, I've kicked myself in the butt several times for ever selling that one. An inmate here at the institution (a good friend) has one ... clean as brand new. I've been trying to buy it for several years, but he won't budge ............. yet!

As for affordable, it's no secret that Colts are high priced. But as far as I know, there has never been one that the value has gone down. Most are as good or better investments than the stock market. Jus' sayin'.
