Gun control activist wants Glocks re-classified as machine guns

I've got plans to make a Luty SMG. The entire gun is made of pipes and readily found sheet metal and other steel at hardware stores. (Note that I haven't made the gun, yet, but when I start, it will be SEMI-auto.)

Should hardware stores bear responsibility for violence as well considering pipe guns are ridiculously easy to make?

The problem needs to be focused on actual causes, not the tools used to commit the violence

I cannot fathom the amount of mental gymnastics required for these activists to believe that a "rouge" Supreme Court had no authority to end the imaginary "Constitutional" right to abortion that Americans had enjoyed for 50 years, while believing that a regulatory agency has the authority to end the clearly enumerated Constitutional right to keep and bear arms that Americans have held sacred for almost 250 years. This complete suspension of logic would be fascinating if it weren't so dangerous.

I don’t see this happening, but in todays climate, you just don’t know

Ok so again “my opinion” and although an informative article I read a lot of hyperbole in it. The sky is not falling on semi automatic guns, is this device going to cause issues? Of course it is because it opens the door for something the gun haters to focus on.
There will always be someone making something that is not only totally unnecessary and does nothing more than bring attention to the negative but will also give fuel to the fire to those that want control over others.

Here’s a hint to gun manufacturers, figure out a way that these devices can’t be installed without making the gun permanently and totally unusable.

Now I know what I’m going to hear, is it the gun manufacturers problem?
NO ITS NOT but being proactive would go a long way to help changing the perception that gun manufacturers don’t care and just want to make dangerous products.

Brandon Herrera made a Luty based on plans and drawings from the original British guy...had a video on U-tube, not sure if the video was pulled or if it's still there.

Well the whole article is predicated on the proliferation of home made auto sears in Chicago being to blame for Chicago murders, which is a joke. They will find anything to blame other than the guy who pulled the trigger.

They're currently doing the same thing with the nutbag that shot up my parent's old high school in south St. Louis last week. This kid had been visited by the police for psycho crap at least 7 times, the cops somehow determined they couldn't relieve him of his guns, even though he was denied on a NICS trying to buy a gun in St. Charles. The school initially reported no information about the kid and they are still not talking, but there is no doubt he was well known and his problems were well known. So now Tony Messenger from the St. Louis Post Disgrace is blaming all republicans for the the murders because of the lax gun laws in the state. And the TV keeps asking about where he got the gun, which was apparently a "Private" Transaction of some sort, so of course this means we need universal background checks The gun was an AR with no handguard on it. It was obviously beat to **** and he obviously didn't understand how it operated. Guaranteed this "Private" transaction was done out of the trunk of some thug's stolen Kia.

So even though this kid had well documented mental problems, the cops were called to his house 7 times over his BS and he was all over social media talking about how much he hated the school, the people, the teachers, etc.. It wasn't a mental health failure, nor a failure of the STLPD to remove his firearms in the wake of his mental breakdowns. It was actually every republican voter in the state for not demanding more gun control.

While this is a failure on many fronts, I don't see the voter as the cause so I will also . As my Mom would say for those that are of that opinion "God bless their little Hearts".

The only vehicle you should get away with stealing is a Porsche. 😬🫣😵‍💫😂😂

Ok I'm confused
It is my understanding they did take his gun/guns and are now trying to figure out WHO or WHICH family member gave him the firearm back.
Correct me if I'm wrong?
Yes originally he failed the background check and bought privately.
There is so much junk in the news it's hard to weed through the horse hockey.
Either way once again we have a mentally unstable individual who went way sideways and killed!

There were 7 different incidents. One of the latter incidents the police found no lawful reason to relieve him of his firearm(s). Prior incidents I believe his family asked them to take it/them.

Yes, the news media is a poor source for facts.

Originally, the media reporting on it, clearly before they had any facts, said the shooter was white. They were really, REALLY hoping he was white. They almost never do anything resembling an in depth report when random black guys are involved in shootings. Which is a few times a day in N. St. Louis. You never hear them point out the fact that unless someone is killed, black guys caught with or using illegal handguns in the city never see jail time. There are actual murders, caught on video tape, that were never prosecuted by Kim Gardner because the cops that investigated were white. A ridiculous amount of PAW ( pending application of warrant) cases exist because she won't prosecute them. I was literally in the middle of a shootout on Page and Hodiamont and it took the cops almost 2 hours to come to the scene. When they got there I tried to hand them bullets that hit our tractors and shell casings that had been very carefully picked up off the ground so not to obfuscate the possible fingerprints. They weren't interested. They simply said " Which way did they go". Never asked for a description of the car or anything. I said, "Well, 2 hours ago they went that way". And they left.

Another time I was digging up a gas main on Kingshighway in the Walnut Park neighborhood and watched a young man come running out to the street from an alley. He was being chased by another guy wearing a hoodie. They guy let a couple fly and hit him in the back. Then he calmly walked up to where he was laying on the ground and put about 6 more into him. Then casually strolled back into the alley. It was at least 45 minutes before the cops showed up to that one. This is every day normal life in the city of St. Louis.

Here in Wisconsin stealing cars is almost encouraged by the law enforcement. No penalty, no matter how many priors.

Sorry, this post is 2-3 steps off topic!:ROFLMAO:

That's not a law enforcement problem, that is a court problem. The courts are run by elected judges.

This is what happens when you have idiots running around loose, idiots running the court systems, and idiots voting for the idiots. Think that covers it.
