Gun Safe Help

Catching up with this post…trying to help a friend open older, Armory Safe Mechanical lock (no key slot or entry pad). Combination gone…friend clearly owns it, long story. Does not want to hire a locksmith ($). I tried stethoscope, no luck. In Jefferson Co. area.
Combo not available from Cannon, who bought Armory (said they don’t have the serial/combo info, hard to believe).
Safe above ever get opened, find contacts, other suggestions?
Thanks!

Can you see a name on the LOCK itself. Most of the big guys use the same 2 or 3 brands of lock. A decent locksmith “should” be able to open it though..
They can…$500-$700, which the person does not want to spend.
No name on dial, unless under label.
Mostly trying to figure out what happened with Armory combos/serial numbers.

Sorry to say again, that’s probably going to be his only option if he wants the safe opened carefully and not damage any of the contents

Yeah, you will need a safe tech to either manipulate it open, or drill it (Dial/Lock) and replace. I'd recommending replacing to something newer if it's in the budget, just not sure if that safe will be able to be retrofitted with a more modern keypad/lock assembly. Need to see interior side of door/boltwork.

I'll see what my guy has to say in the morning and report back.
