I have used them when I had rifles, I had no issues with them

I have several old 22’s, all blued with wood stocks, that i’ve been keeping in gun socks. I just wanted to make sure i wasn’t doing any harm.

Nope; just put them in clean & wiped down with a silicon rag/Rustprufe and you’re good to go.

Mine are in them for ding and scratch protection more than rust. when you put wood stocks in with old military auto rifles that have metal charging handles.they can damage a wood stock. all the old school stuff was metal and wood mostly.

I use socks on long gins that I'm relatively certain will not be needed or used for a long while. Clean and lubricate well, cover, and store.

Never had one. I have dehumidifiers in my safes and maintain my firearms appropriately.
