Agreed, the Glock is definitely for slow learners.Once I thought it was a horrible cartridge, but I bought a Glock and my mind was changed. I blame the 1911 after getting the Glock for my distane of the 45acp. All good now! A bit slow, but still good for training my kids on shooting.
Who could ever learn with a 1911. Good for hammers when in a tight spot or just want to beat yourself senseless for not buying a Glock.Agreed, the Glock is definitely for slow learners.
Yeah, Glock is just great to give to those who can't master a real pistol. Sorta like the Can AM Spyder of motorcycles to the 1911s Harley.Who could ever learn with a 1911. Good for hammers when in a tight spot or just want to beat yourself senseless for not buying a Glock.
I think you mean M1A.I don't know if the 1911 crowd will ever catch up, but it's good to see they still rely on the .45 ACP.

I think the 1911 is beautiful. I could easily see a hard chromed or beautifully blued 1911 on display in a modern art museum. In fact you could do a complete exhibit. A 100 Year Retrospective: The Art of the 1911.Not much into looks, just results which is why I prefer a 1911.
Wasn't the 1911 I was talking about. If you read the post I was replying to, it said, this what YOU look like with a 1911. With a picture of some 80s guy and 80s phone. I was saying I really don't worry what I look like. I don't care If I look anachronistic. I care about the results of the toolI think the 1911 is beautiful. I must have misunderstood. I have always considered you a gentleman of impeccable taste.Wasn't the 1911 I was talking about. The 1911 is the best looking pistol I know of, IMO. Or CAN BE the best looking, in its military guise its utilitarian looking.
Why thank you, the feeling is mutual.I must have misunderstood. I have always considered you a gentleman of impeccable taste.
Now, photoshop a Glock in the G.I.'s hand in the picture. Then, photoshop Tom Selleck, (Magnum P.I.) into a Prius. Same result.
I like mine too. It is however not my favorite .45.While you guys bicker between a 1911 and a Glock, I like my Shield .45.
