Happy Fourth.

This last day many Americans will enjoy waking up with two eyes and/or ten fingers…

Don’t be one of ‘em.

(Time to get set up for smoking…ribs, and bacon wrapped meatball appetizers.

It’s also time for a wee bit of bourbon in the coffee.)

In the day, there was another country that actually celebrated American Independence Day and that was Denmark. I was told the streets were lined with US flags and various celebrations were conducted. Don't know if they still do it today, but there you go.

well, i think it had to do with us beating thier British ass, as to why the question was asked
 
Happy Independence Day everyone! I’m not forgetting why we celebrate this day. We the people need to remember the “whys” and work on reversing the cluster bomb that our government has become, or our history WILL repeat itself. Hope I didn’t throw a bucket of water on anyone’s holiday spirit, it’s just that I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I needed to say it.

I just spoke to my daughter a few minutes ago. She feels sad about how much turmoil there is in our country doesn't feel super patriotic. I'm proud to be an American but I too am saddened with the current path we are on.
A little off subject we are very concerned about hurricane Beryl headed toward South Texas.
