Most of my storage space is not climate controlled . I have lots of reloading equipment , old steel scopes, mounts, two compound bows and other smalls that my father owned. I’d like to get some of those items my father used out of my closet and keep them protected.

Pricey but a large Rubbermaid container that doesn’t seal that well will run 30-40 bucks.

There's a few local military surplus stores near me that I'm going to check to see if they have a similar case in stock.

Pelican has some amazing military cases for everything from Minigun to pistol
I may have to buy the one that holds 5 AR’s and 5 pistols.

You don’t want those, then. The rifle rests/holders are molded in, and removing them really isn’t an option if you want to keep the climate control feature.

If they’re $30-40ish that’s a good deal. If not for long term weapons storage, they look good enough to keep some bulky power tools dry in an open bed pickup vs. a Knaack or permanent alum tub taking up bed space.
I checked Harbor Fright’ Apache brand for their pelican knockoff, they have a smaller one for $100 on wheels, a basically a hard case roller luggage bag style.

I’m gonna go with no. I’d say the only ( affordable) way to protect buried firearms is disassembly and slathered with cosmoline or some such and placed in an airtight apparatus.
