Nice article on the 5.56 vs 6.8 spc. I have shot thousands of 5.56 but I have not shot any 6.8 spc’s.

The 6.8 spc may have some performance advantages but it can't compare to the overall greater acceptance and use of the 5.56.

I have a 6.8 and it hits steel hard. I haven't shot past 100 yards with it, but should be good. Even if it took 60 years like the 223rem I don't think it will be as accepted either?

Its going to come down to cost of ammo and how many gun being made and the cost of the guns.

I’ve really come to enjoy shooting the 5.56/.223 out of my AR15 and for a harder hitting round I’ve stuck with my .308 I’ve spent the last few months getting down to just 4 calibers.

This doesn’t count the 38special I have for my dads old revolver which I don’t see me shooting anytime soon on a regular basis.
Another caliber?
