Heckler & Koch Reboots The SL8 Rifle

That's downright affordable. Another one goes on my list. I'm sure @BET7 already has one. Probably @HansGruber too.
No, not yet Bob 😁. But when I was down at my LGS picking up my Sig MPX K the other day, this little beauty caught my eye. If I didn’t have so many outstanding bills to pay off due to recent purchases, I would have gotten it. I already have the HK VP9SK, so perhaps next time I’m at the store, I’ll pick it up

That's a damn nice looking pistol. Bet it gives the Q5 a run for it's money. You definitely should have bought it.

I just got done with a course which I used my VP9 for and I can personally vouch for the superiority of the ( regular, non optic, non subcompact 4") VP9 over every other striker fired carry pistol in the world. I will get into my expanded thoughts on that matter a little later tonight when I give a report on my class this morning.

There are more than a few HK rifles I would rather have than this one. Those rifles are also generally about 3 times the cost at least. I mean before I dropped 16 beans on an AR or even say 2k on a DD AR, I would buy this.

Yeah, the SL’s really are a budget HK…I’ll likely be picking one of these up.

There are outfits that will do a G36 conversion…but it usually costs more than the rifle itself.

Here's another link on this subject with interesting veiws in the comment section:

Interestingly, TommyBuilt made a U.S. Clone of the HK G36 (Tommy Built T36), until the ATF got involved and classified it as a machine gun after several had been sold. Being a small company, TommyBuilt offered to work with the ATF and their customers to "correct" this issue for a small cost (as opposed to having the unmodified gun potentially confiscated outright by the ATF)
