Hellcat blacked out rear sight

Anyone got any good tips for blacking out the white "U" on the Hellcats rear sight? I tried a Birchwood Casey black pen, but it was in gloss and shiny enough to be distracting.

I want to black the rear out because, when shooting for precison, I find my eyes shifting to the crisp white U on occasion.

Buy a small can of flat black paint and brush it on. ?

Go to a local Harley Davidson shop. Get a small bottle of "texture black" touchup paint, it comes with a brush attached to the lid.

Any auto parts store will have touch up paint in a small container with a brush

Very few have a nice texture black finish though. I'm not a HD fanboi by any stretch, but it is good paint with a good final finish that should pretty much match the sight finish dead-on when dry.

Try plastic dip at least you can peel it off if you don't like it.

When I shot silhouette, I used Birchwood Casey Sight Black, it came in a spray can, went on easy and just wiped off, looked like black smoke when you had it on.
