The strength I had to use to operate the slide pull and then to engage the lever to the 12 o’clock position was tremendous. My question is will it get easier to pull the slide and rotate the disassembly lever? This was unbelievable.

Yes, after you get some rounds through it the spring will let up some, mine is also a bear like this.

I had not heard that about the Hellcat.
But I’ve been leaning anyway to a SW Shield EZ 9mm - just anticipating the day I’ll have to sell off most stuff and retire from the range. Arthritis, etc.
Hopefully no time soon

Rack the slide back, engage the slide stop to hold the slide back, THEN turn the take down lever. Much easier when you’re not trying to hold the slide back at rotate the take down lever at the same time.

Yeah, I was very disappointed after getting mine for this exact reason. But as stated it does loosen up after about 200 rounds... well, for mine anyway.

No I had the slide stop in place. Takedown lever is tight.

Yes it is a little tight and kind of a pain to move. But it will loosen up some as you use it. Remember as well, you don't want it to be TOO loose. The last thing you want is for it to work itself out of place while shooting.

That's what I derived too.
