Hellcat issue

Lb1088

Alpha
Went and shot my Hellcat today for the first time. I've had it for several months and had only shot 1 round out of it. Today when i started shooting it would only fire 1 round and then i couldn't pull trigger back to fire next round. It ecected the spent casing and cycled next round but would not fire next round. 2 of us tried with same result. When we racked another round it would fire the first round again with same issue with next round. Any ideas would be appreciated.

This sounds like something that the factory should look at especially if there are no modifications. Call the factory
That's what i thought. Just seeing if anyone else had similar issue. Wierd thing was that my buddy had a Springfield 1911 9mm that had same misfire today. He said he never had that problem with 1000 rounds shot. May be I was bad luck today. Very disappointed with my Hellcat. Luckily happened at the range and not in real life situation.

what ammo are you using?

did you try a different ammo?

i have used a few types of FMJ round nose, and mine, it shoots fine.

i have Federal HST's in it now, and it shoots fine with those.

when you first took it home, did you field strip it and clean and lube it?

you say you had it for several months, and only shot it for the first time recently?

if i recall, when i took mine apart, there was hardly any oil or grease on the rails. i'm thinking that yours might have been bone dry as well, and locked up due to lack of lubrication?

He didn't say it locked up. The trigger failed to function on any except the first shot.

As Bob said, if the information provided is accurate, the striker is not resetting. Factory issue to correct. I can't imagine a 1911 with a hammer having this issue. The spent case is ejected and the hammer is reset automatically, and is visible. The hammer has to reset if the case is ejected. I wonder about the details...

That might be the problem going to give that a try. Thanks

Trigger would no pull on the 1911. Hammer would reset but couldn't pull trigger. My buddy is very experienced shooter could not figure out what was going on.
