Hellcat Micro optic

I am considering a Hellcat Micro with a red dot sight. Question is this ... I have seen/heard that ONLY fulltime on optics are made for this tiny little gem of a pistol. I am interested in a switchable model. Does such an animal exist??? Thanks all for your help. BB

I guess if you consider shake to wake to be ”fulltime on”, then you may be right. But in my mind that‘s a stretch. A shake to wake certainly isn’t fully on when it’s asleep, but is on enough to sense movement.

Personally, I ended up getting a Crimson Trace RAD Micro Pro with shake to wake for my Hellcat OSP. Mounts directly to the slide without a plate, allows co-witnessing with the stock sights, and fits the Hellcat like it was made for it.

What is a switchable model ? Even the MoTac ( shake awake) optics can be turned off. ALL optics can be turned off. When they say "Always on" what they mean is that battery life is rated for always on since most people are going to leave it on if it's a carry gun.

What I meant was just that. There USED to be optics that were 100% off if you set the "on/off" switch to off. I was hoping for that option. Guess I'm looking for something that doesn't exist any longer. I didn't want a "sleep" mode. I wanted to be in control of sleep mode...or not. Thank you.

Sorry Bassbob. I getcha. They just didn't state it the way you did. It was just "always on". My thinking is that I have 9 pistols, and some are full size and 1 (or more) would be my home gun at night. So, what's the sense in leaving my little Glock 33 on always, but I guess I DO have the option. Of course the Glock would be on as long as I was carrying it. Thanks again. Why couldn't they have SAID it CAN be turned off?
