i own 3 springfields - xd ,xde, 1911 champion, all great, my question is why does nobody have the hellcat ? i have been to several gun dealers nobody has one, and no one knows when they are going to be available????? most gun dealers are speculating that there is a problem with the hellcat, but everything i read gives Great reveiws!!! So what is the deal on the hellcat ??????????? Is their a problem & what is the problem ??????????? a Concerned Springfeild Armory fan Dan R Sherrid Sr

They’re just flying off the shelves. One of my local shops has a waiting list. Even worse now that they put one in their rental fleet. They’re a Sig dealer and anybody who rents the Hellcat gets to shoot a mag through the 365 also. Not working out so well for the Sig😆

I was at the Sig Academy pro-shop yesterday looking for a .22 SRDx silencer and I have to say the customer service there was terrible. The employees seemed like you were bothering them when I was asking simple questions about a product I was going to buy.

The staff was also very quick to dismiss you and push you out the door. I live 30 mins from the pro-shop and I will never go back there again.

Stick with SA

Check GunBroker.com, plenty available. I actually bought one a few weeks ago from a gun shop in Alabama. Another site that shows they are available is Nagel's Gun Shop in San Antonio. I purchased a Shield Sight RMSc and it was delivered in a couple of days.

Grab a gun and Palmetto state armory have them in stock on a regular basis.

Well....My new Hellcat OSP had to be sent in for warranty service. The trigger locked up about five times within the first 200 rounds at the range, causing me to have to cycle the slide to reset it. Also it had two fails to go in to battery? Not sure what the deal is, but not what I was hoping for out of a new gun I was wanting as my EDC piece. I'm going on three weeks since the dealership sent it in. Haven't heard anything back yet?

Sorry to hear that. You’re actually the first person I’ve personally seen that had to send theirs in. Springfield has an excellent warranty shop, although I don’t know how the Corona has affected their timelines. You’ll get a sheet back with it that tells you what repairs they made. Would appreciate it if you posted it here once you get it back.

Okie....The dealership I got my Hellcat OSP from called, saying my Hellcat was back from Springfield. They stated that, no repair description sheet was sent with the gun, so I have no idea what the problem was, or what was even fixed? However, the guys at the dealership took the Hellcat out and put a box of rounds through it without any issues. When I get a little time, and when the ranges open up again around here, I'll put it through its paces and see for myself. That's the only way I'll be convinced that this gun is worthy of being my EDC. Also, I'll attempt to get more information as to what (if anything) was fixed on/in the gun?

Great days have returned!!!....My Hellcat has returned to me after the warranty work, fully operational and functioning as it should!! I am now carrying it with Hornady Critical Defense ammo (cost me two extra boxes to test it) and it loves the stuff. Also, the Hellcat OSP ate up the Sig and Browning FMJ ammo fed through it!! (my original malfunctions came from using 115 gr FMJ Winchester&Federal ammo. I'll be testing that later).

That's great to hear, mine has been flawless.
