Hellcat Pro range day 1/7/23 (Striker update)

My striker broke last week. Ordered a new MCarbo titanium striker update kit. Installed it with all new springs. It is a massive improvement in the trigger pull, very smooth, very quiet. Anyways, this is 100 rounds in about an hour. Some from low ready, some from ready, a few from gun placed on desk, pick up and fire and so on. Got to say, I'm very happy with the upgrade. Don't think I was ever this accurate at 10 yards before. Blew out the reds, retaped over them, nailed them also. Looks like only 2 flyers. One was the first shot I took and didn't think it would fire that easy. Every shot was on paper.
Using the Hellcat Pro, Holoson 507k x2 red dot, Olight mini 2 valkyrie light and the MCarbo titanium striker kit upgrade

Same stock trigger. Upgraded just the Striker assmembly (Striker, spring, glide and cups) and safety spring. The trigger may come later.
the MCarbo trigger that i had replaced with the striker kit, is like 10,000 more times comfortable. but i'm sure any other brand is more comfortable than the original.

True. I did get a second Striker. Think it was a lightning Striker. That one uses the original springs. Doesn't come close to the Mcarbo. I'm very pleased.

i thought about that Lightning one as well, but read where "some times" one guy reviewed said, not all replacement springs fit thier strikers.

I find all this striker speak very interesting... I just recently (haven't even shot it yet) purchased the Hellcat Pro, installed the Holosun HE507K x2, a few Apex upgrades and had the Apex trigger installed, it came with a new (longer) striker spring. The gunsmith was impressed with the difference it made (trigger pull) but never said anything about potential striker failure. When failure has occurred, I see a few people have already had issues, in what timeline has it occurred? Just wondering if I should get ahead of the game and have one on hand. And who's? Looking forward to some range time this week to finally get this broken in to be my EDC.

Seems to me maybe there is a problem with pro striker. The only time I ever had a striker fail was on a SIG P365. It also had trigger problems too. Other than that never an issue with any other brand. Oh yeah, I got rid of that Sig piece.

What is the problem with the Pro trigger? I have the original Hellcat and I find the trigger to be ok. If the trigger is that bad i'm glad I didn't get the Pro.
...I believe the triggers to be the same. (They take the same Apex Hellcat upgraded trigger) But you said the trigger was "ok"... This Pro is going to be my new EDC and I don't ever settle for "ok". Just my personal preference... If you can make something good, better why not do it?

There wasn't really anything wrong with the trigger. It's the same as the original Hellcat. It's designed to be a very hard wall and break. Known as a defensive gun. That stiffness does effect accuracy. I softer spring and Striker helps with that.

I would have one in the hand. They are saying dry fire has a. Impact also.

I would buy the McCarbo enhanced striker and install it. Keep the stock striker on hand in case of failures.

...that'll be the plan. My question then, which I have addressed to MCarbo, is the Apex trigger I had installed came with a new striker spring and it was installed. But with the enhanced striker from MCarbo (comes with the ss striker sleeve and titanium striker and trigger springs) who's striker spring do I use. I'm not looking to really change the "feel" of the Apex trigger, just upgraded the striker, as I don't plan on installing the trigger springs either.

I think I would use the one that came with the striker you are going to use.

Did you actually have the striker fail (break) or was it the factory plastic striker sleeve that failed? Just curious for my own research as to prevent this myself...
