Hellcat RDP - no where to be found?

For the past 6 weeks, I have consistently checked with every gun shop (14 of them) within a 90 mile radius and not one has received a Hellcat RDP yet (or so they said). I've seen a few on gunbroker and a couple of other auction sites, but the price is crazy inflated! Are any of you seeing them in your local gun shops? Any idea when we'll start to see them? Springfield has done a great job promoting the firearm, but I'm starting to wonder if this might be a true "ghost gun!"

Small gun shops are gonna be low on the food chain for getting these; they are in high demand, supply is low, and distributors are going to get them to their big customers first.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I figured that was the case. I've tried several of the big box retailers (Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse and Academy) and still no luck. I'll keep looking!!

I have 10 LGS in my area. I have seen the RDP'S In most of them , But they go fast . I got mine at a close LGS They got 2 in , one with the Safety and one with out I got the one with safety . I'm very happy with it . I also have the OSP Hellcat in FDE.

My local SA dealers get their fresh gun supply and sell them in the same day.

Years ago I waited months to get an XD45 Deal offered at from the LGS that put me on a wish list. But after getting the usual Not in Stock Backorder song I decided to try 3 or 4 LGS‘s in the area and none offered the SA Deal, didn’t have stock, or couldn’t match the price especially with factory Trijicon sights and multiple 13 rnd mags. Supply and demand, my preferred LGS probably got 10 in and sold all 10 went for +MSRP maybe never looking to see who’s was on the wait list. In conversation with a friend who says he knew the clerk at my SA authorized dealer LGS, he makes a call, low and behold I got the nod to come on down...like right now.
Bottom line: Get a friend in the LGS (factory). Be persistent - and a box of donuts or gift card for lunch doesn’t hurt...you’ll be remembered when the 9mm comes in too.
