Hellcat Slid stop is tough!

I know that it is technically a STOP, but. Is it just me or is hard to pull down with your thumb. My wifes G27 and my SW40VE are no were near that difficult.

I did buy the gun just a few hours ago so I'm wondering if it will loosen up a bit???

Thanks for the input!

It definitely will. Mine took several hundred rounds to loosen a bit and still takes a little more effort than the larger XD models. Fully expect that to smooth out shortly.

Side note
There are a lot of people that get hung up on the terminology “slide stop” and will give others **** like they called a mag a clip. It’s kinda ridiculous. There are definitely two camps in what it should be used for but both sides have a bunch of skilled professionals advocating for them. The use of the slide stop as a release is also specifically recommended in the Springfield manuals along with several other manufacturers. I practice both ways, so I’m prepared regardless of what happens in a stress situation, but the slide stop is my favored method.
