Hellion firing pin reassembly question.

I just disassembled my Hellion for the first time. Had one issue I'd greatly appreciate some input on. When reassembling the BCG I was not sure I installed the firing pin correctly. The manual was a little unclear IMO. I got the firing pin in and locked with the retainer pin, but I noticed that the bolt cam does not go back into the far rear notch in the carrier, and the firing pin has next to nothing play. I only have the end knob sticking out of the carrier-locked with the retaining pin (like the picture I attached from the internet). Of the 3 lug-like rings the first two should be fully inserted into the BCG, with the last held by the spring loaded retainer?

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I am running into the same thing.

I had this problem but it turns out it's not actually a problem. The bolt is not supposed to go all the way into the carrier, and the cam pin is not supposed to travel all the way to the back of the cam track (except during disassembly).

The correct way to reassemble the carrier is:
  1. Install the bolt all the way into the carrier and orient it as shown in the manual (when looking at the bolt face, the ejector should be at the 2 o'clock position for left-hand ejection, or 10 o'clock position for right-hand ejection)
  2. Insert the cam pin into the bolt (tilting to the 2 o'clock position for left-hand ejection, or 10 o'clock position for right-hand ejection)
  3. Move the bolt so that it is fully extended, as far out of the front of the carrier as it will go
  4. Hold the spring-loaded lever on the back of the carrier in the upward position, insert the firing pin (and spring) as far into the carrier as it will go, hold it in place, and release the lever
  5. Insert the firing pin retaining pin
The bolt will no longer travel through its full range of motion, but that's OK. The cam pin should go almost far enough into the carrier to slip into the notch at the end of the cam track, but not quite far enough.

If you do not insert the firing pin all the way into the carrier (allowing the cam pin to travel through its full range of motion), the firing pin retaining pin won't catch it and it will get ejected out the back of the carrier when cycling the action.
