Here's what Congress is considering on gun rights (and why nothing will happen)

This statement is pure B.S.:

“ The shooter in Georgia bought his firearm the day he is alleged to have carried out the attacks, according to police. There's no waiting period to buy a gun in Georgia, making it a much easier process than, say, registering to vote, which takes more time there.”

You don’t need a background check or any waiting period to register to vote in Georgia - or anywhere else - that I’m aware of. You need an ID and proof of residence (such as a utility bill or bank statement) and that’s it.

They also imply that internet sales can happen without a background check. As you all know, that’s false as well. Any internet sales must go through a FFL and a background check (or carry permit) is required before possession of the weapon can be taken.

CNN is probably right that none of the more extreme (possibly any) of these measures will be passed, but they - as usual - present a biased picture…

Is CNN.
From my perspective, it sometimes helps to know what else is going on from where and the slant/bias they sometimes use even if it is fabrication or not.

I don't give the reporters so much credit for spinning the facts. In my experience most of them are too stupid, or superficial, to grasp the details of a story, and then the spin is put on by their editors. It happens that way because editors believe we are too stupid to understand complex issues, so they must tell us how we should think on the subject. It is why you should never trust the media to get the story right.
