Since so much was made about the issues with the Hex Wasp here, I figured I’d give an update with mine. I bought mine a day after they were made available from SA. That was the very end of February of 2021. My battery just wore out yesterday. So, about 18 1/2 months. They say 2 years, but 18 1/2 months isn’t bad. Took me 5 minutes to take the Wasp off, put a new battery in and reinstall it. Haven’t shot it yet to confirm, but the dot came right back to where it was in relation to the iron sights. Guess I’ll replace next September and continue to do so on a yearly basis. That will insure that it won’t go out on me when it’s most needed.
 
Now that you mention that I'll have to schedule a trip to my sister's (6.5 hour trip) to change her Hellcat RDP battery ... and clean/lube it for her. She's not real mechanical when it comes to taking apart her guns and has slowed down a bit at 71 y.o. so I usually have a gun cleaning day when I'm down visiting. She carries and uses them on her little mountain top property.
