Hex wrench size for standard iron sights on Springfield Edge AR15

I am having a difficult time removing the standard iron sights on a new Edge AR15 I received. Neither the 5/64 (too small) or the 3/32 (too big) that I have fit hex bolt holding it on. I need to remove the iron sight to get the correct eye relieve for an optic I am mounting. I don't want to strip the bolt.

Metric? Possibly? It could have a thread lock applied too it, but don't know for sure? The only springfields I have are pistols. Someone on here has (XDMAN) for sure! Send him a letter through the armory life page.

If you need to remove the bolts before you get the metric set take the 5/64
“the one slightly smaller” and use some cloth to take up the gap.
Should work go slow.

I got a set of standard and metric T handled wrenches from Northern Tool for about $11.

I finally determined that the best (correct?) size bit is a T15 (Torx). It fits firmly and allowed to provide the necessary torque to back out the sight screws.
