Hey folks,
I inherited the subject gun from Grandpa many years ago. I am getting ready to strip it all the way down and give it a rebirth... Just curious if anyone had worked on this model of gun before and had any lessons learned.

I have not worked on them. Would love to see a pic.
Hans is right. Bringing old guns back to life tends to be expensive due to the scarcity of parts. I know this firsthand working on some Winchester 22’s. The upside is once you get them up and running it is very rewarding.
I belong to a forum called Rimfire Central and it really is “rimfire central”. If it’s related to rimfire you’ll find it there. I’d suggest checking it out. They’ve helped a great deal with advice on old guns and where parts can be sourced.
Good luck with this old gun.

I don't usually post pics but when I do they are dirty!!! See below

I think it sat in his shop for years, then sat in a box in my warehouse for 25 more years... mechanically it is sweet but the finish is jacked. Not sure what he was doing with it...
