It’s no secret that Hollywood has a very loose relationship with reality. The movie industry, after all, is based on fantasy and escapism, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

First experience I had with a "silencer" was a big let down. Thought the thing was broke.
Now that I understand reality it has completely destroyed the movies/tv. Knowing now
that actors are mostly left leaning socialists I don't find it bad at all.

I remember the first time I saw a suppressor used from Hollywood . It was on Gunsmoke and a guy was using a Winchester 30-30 to kill certain people who had been on a certain jury. It barely made a whisper every time he fired it.
