George Jefferson!!! One of the best tv characters.
I saw Sherman Hemsley on some talk show (not one of the big ones--I can't even remember which one) once and he left a strong impression on me. He couldn't have been more unlike "George Jefferson." He was very quiet and soft-spoken; I'm tempted to say he was in the neighborhood of "shy" or "bashful." He was very polite and seemed embarrassed to be there, or to be considered a "star." And he did a "robot" dance, which was kind of a craze of the time (late '70s? Early '80s? I really can't recall too many details). It seemed remarkable to me that such a man could play the brash George Jefferson. He must have been a REALLY good actor.

I haven't had eggnog in years--probably decades--but my memory of it is it's what would happen if you put vomit in a blender and added enough rum and sugar to the mess to get it to where you could just barely drink it, if someone bet you a lot of money that you wouldn't, and you were already 3/4 drunk anyway.

And buttermilk's even worse.
