Hookers Disrupt Church Services

In the mid-70s I was a young troop stationed in Germany. I thought they had a good handle on prostitution. Street walking was illegal. Bordellos were legal and had rules that had to be followed such as regular health check-ups with drug and STD tests for the women. It was a licensed, well organized, regulated and safe business. I wouldn't have a problem with something like that here.
OTOH, when I was working, occasionally someone would bring in one of those "Just Busted" newspapers. These show names, mug shots and charges against people recently arrested in the area. The women who were busted for prostitution were just awful! You could't pay me enough to come within 10 feet of one of these ugly, drugged out witches!
Its the world's oldest profession. You can't stop it, so you might as well regulate, tax and make it as safe as possible.

San Diego is where I went to Boot Camp and where my ship was home ported. It was never this bad back then, even with it being a military town. However, since they are more concerned with "climate change", and they voted for more crime, I don' t see where the problem is. They got what they voted for. This is what dims represent.

You can't make this stuff up. It reads like a Western comedy

In Korea they used numbers because nobody could remember their names. They used to post everyday on the squadron bulletin the numbers that turned up positive. If your number came up you had to go see the doc.

Germany did it right I think. But woe to those women and their johns who decided to do their thing outside on a street corner no matter how remote. The polizei were serious about enforcing that law.

See comment #5.
Nope but I was raised in church, the son of a preacher, and have been a heathen for decades. I know both sides very well. The closest liquor store to me is connected to an Ace Hardware so the church folks won't be seen going in and out of the liquor store. That's just one example. Another.....when I started clubbing, I was shocked at the people from my church I ran into.
Want another? A big, local, weekly card game is put on by a deacon of the local Baptist church. I have hundreds more.

I don't doubt a word of your testimony. Now tell us what you know about the people of the San Diego church in question. If you don't know any of them or anything about them, you're painting them with the brush of the people you DO know. And that's what makes your comment a bit "bigot-y," get it? ;)

I get what your saying. Do you know me? Calling me anything makes you the same.

I don't know you. I didn't call you anything. All I know of you is what you posted, and I called that "a bit bigot-y." And you claim you "get" what I'm saying. I don't see why you're trying to make a problem here, but ah shucks oh well. Have a blessed day.

Damned right. You don't mess with the Polizei about anything. I know several stories about those guys, but that's for another time.

Maybe it’s just me. What seems to be the issue here in the US is we taboo everything and for that it seems people seem to have a harder time moderating their behavior. And I say this as being stationed in Europe for a bit.

In Europe a 16 year old having a glass of wine with dinner and no big crisis with alcoholic issues. A few but not like here.

Lighter drugs (and some heavy) are legal in certain places and there’s not people acting a fool elsewhere

Prostitution is legal in many countries at brothels and no problems And the attitude towards sex is like no big deal. Her prostitution is but married mon with an only fans is not.

Also speaking of prostitution and only fans if they ever made it legal across the board here all those “folks” in those groups fighting against it would see their Only Fans subscriptions decline so there’s that!

If they legalized it would be like ending prohibition. It would clean stuff up and probably curtail the human trafficking which has seen an increase whether folks want to admit it or not.

The vast majority of that falls into the category of behavior that really only affects those involved. I’ve long said the biggest problem with the world is people can’t stay out of other peoples business. By a large margin the people who oppose these things ( legal soft drugs, prostitution and other activities with moral implications that I won’t go into here because of board rules) and have historically and effectively legislated against it are Christians.
