Here's a link to the new 'gun control' law supposedly passed by the majority of voters in Oregon and has been ruled constitutional by the lower courts. It involves a background check in order to receive a 'purchase permit'. And which does absolutely nothing over and above what the already unconstitutional gun control laws do. And obviously it is designed as a direct impact to the AR's and mags over 10 rounds. Keep in mind there is already a background check in order to purchase, this one is to provide you with a permit to purchase ....... huh????????

NJ requires an FID purchaser's card. In order to get that card I had to have a background check and get fingerprinted. On top of that, in order to purchase a handgun I have to apply to the state police for a handgun purchaser's permit, which requires another background check plus mental health background check at the county level to make sure I wasn't in mental institution. Then I go through the regular federal NICS check when I pick up a the handgun.
